    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

    gettin on it on 400 yesterday on my way to the girl's house, i hear a weird noise consistent with my engine's rpms. almost there i hear a belt squeeling. get there and pop the hood i see a little smoke. my only belts are my alt belt and timing belt. alt belt is new and tight......so she gives me a ride to the house i grab my tools, have the upper timing cover off in 20 minutes....looks like my tensioner pulley locked up >_<. i swear, was one of those days where i was thankful i went with a GReddy timing belt, cause that sucker was on it's last leg. if it were just an oe belt i'd be in another world of shit haha. i've been meaning to do an N1 water pump anyways so......today i'm on the hunt for a new GReddy timing belt, N1 water pump, tensioner pulley, and might as well replace the idler pulley too while i'm there. aww man thank you jesus i caught that in time. whew. why now though? why couldn't it be monday or something lol. anywho if i can get the parts today that shit'll be on later tonight grrrr this better not fuk up my weekend HAHA
    later,
    Dave

    good luck man

    I actually just decided to sell the turbo manifold and get another one, instead of finding another turbo

    let me know if anyone is interested

    got the car back together last night, whew. i marked the cam angle sensor with white out and put it back, but it felt slower. before i dissassembled it all i checked my base timing with the tps unplugged and it was 12 degrees. rb's stock base is 15 degrees. so i put it back together and i'm like "it's slower" i look at the timing and i'm 15 degrees. so on the way back to the house i take it to redline. it goes to 7k no problem. i turn it back to 12 btc and it's fast again, idling smoother, and back to where it's been tuned for....but it's only 6900 now. GRRRR!!! lol.

    bottom line. very near future plans:

    i'm going to eliminate that dryer hose bullshit intake. go with a metal one. move the maf to "blow through." get a better bov cause the blitz can't get all the boost out. then retune the bastard with base timing at 15 degrees, since now everything is adjustable. then i hope to have no more idle issues, no more dryer hose/collapsing intake restricting flow to the turbo, 7k+ redline, & no more compressor surge. then right on time my 240z should be painted and lookin sexy and the yellow car will sit until i get a frankenstein motor for it cuz i'm tired of having more motor than car. i'd like a quick car THAT LOOKS GOOD TOO lol.

    in any case, it still feels a little stronger than the last time i was out that way, so while everyone's running don't hesitate to give me a nudge, i'd like to see how the better tune helped. still a solid/safe 12.0 a/f ratio across the map

    take it ez fellas,
    Dave =]

    my new timing belt broke today.....luckily i wasn't on it, i was only going 35mph...still, it's an interference engine....i'm hoping the thicker headgasket gave me a little more clearance but still i dunno. i replaced the tensioner and the idler when i put this one on....i'm going to get a new crank pulley cause it has some indentations in it, and new timing belt shields that go on the front and back of the crank pulley from nissan tomorrow morning. it's scarey cause everything looks normal but i can't take any chances.....once i get this back together i'll do a compression test and pray to Jesus my valves aren't bent. i really wanna run peeps tomorrow, as it is i couldn't go to commerce i'll keep blogging my emo status/updates. pray for compression LOL

    be ez, hopefully it'll be ok and i'll see yall tomorrow night, later,
    Dave =\

    going to the bank on lunch and deposit my shoe box savings >_<

    i found a motor for a good price, hopefully i can get it here by thursday, then saturday pop it in, come to bp, and spank some hineys hahaha, in the meantime fix my valve train on the other head, and possibly build that one for a spare *shrug

    words of the wise. GReddy timing belt is the only way to go. the first time when it was just squeeling was the GReddy belt slowling coming apart. i changed it with a new Pit Work which is supposed to be a little better than OE....one day later, that shit was shredded and that's the one that popped completely, so......GReddy T Belt FTW! >_<

    I only let Turbo Dave tune my car. i don't mind giving credit where credit's due, and that man's good. I always leave there happy, he's always fair, Mainstream's a great shop. i hope they can fit me in for more dyno time after work today.

    @NevrNufTorq: i know the MAX hp stayed the same, but jeebus that map totally owned the last one. speaking in a parable, it's like a girl having a big ass and big titties. but if those titties and that ass is on a chunky girl, it's still good but it could be in better places...like on a skinny girl. so last time, the titties stayed the same size but the ass got a little bigger, and they were in MUCH better placement on a skinny girl. made me wanna smack that ^_^

    i can't make it sunday but we'll go one day very soon. i heard the mk4 was ownin it up on dyno day muwhahahaha. ttyl bro, take care
    Dave
